BREDA—Requiem mass for Mrs. Gary (Joan) Becker, 25, of Perry will be held at 1:3C p.m. Friday at St. Bernard's Church here with the Rev. Msgr. John C. Doherty as celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call after 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Breda, where the rosary will be recited Thursday at 3 and 8:45 p.m. The parish scriptural prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Mrs. Becker died about 11:15 p.m. Monday, May 1, in a two car auto crash on Iowa Highway 141, 11 miles west of Perry; she was dead upon arrival at Iowa Methodist Hospital, Des Moines.

She was born at Carroll Dec. 3, 1946, a daughter of Ervil and Helen Tiefenthaler of Breda. She was reared at Breda and graduated from St. Bernard's High School. She then attended Vettleton Business Institute, Sioux City, and following her graduation was employed at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll.

Her marriage to Mr. Becker took place at St. Bernard's Church here, and they made their home in Perry. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Perry.

Surviving are her husband; an eight-month-old son, Douglas; her parents, of Breda: eight brothers and sisters including Duane Tiefenthaler of Cedar Rapids, Lois Tiefenthaler of Omaha, Neb.; Leon, Mark, James, Carol Ann, Donna Mae and Myron Tiefenthaler, all at home; and her grandparents, Conrad Tiefenthaler of Breda and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Beincks of Carroll. She was a daughter-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. William Becker of Glidden.

Mrs. Becker was preceded in death by a brother, Daryl Tiefenthaler, in 1968.
